WEB To Ride Factory MV Agusta at TT 2006

Chris Palmer Returns to the Mountain Course

Four times a TT winner, 98 times victorious at Oliver’s Mount Scarborough, and a collector of no fewer than 100 race wins around the country, Cumbria’s Chris Palmer will ride a factory MV Agusta at this year’s Isle of Man TT races.

The 43-year-old Cumbrian, who was in death’s clutches after a horrendous motorcycle accident at Cadwell Park in June 2003, will make his long-awaited TT return on the MV Agusta F4 1000 in the Formula One and Senior races during the 2006 Isle of Man TT races.

As a rider, Palmer has a wealth of experience, having first competed at the TT in 1983 when he finished eighth in the Junior MGP [Manx Grand Prix]. Since then he has won four TT races – two Junior and two Formula One events – and has a total of 19 podiums at the TT Races including a second place in the 1997 Senior and a brace of thirds – in the 1992 Senior and 2002 Formula One. He has also lapped the Mountain Course at more than 125mph on no fewer than 22 occasions.

Palmer will get his first taste of the works MV Agusta F4 1000 when he travels to Italy to test the bike at the end of March before making his return to the Mountain Course at this year’s TT, which takes place between 29th May and the 9th June, 2006.
